Sreyyate

Hi! I am Yate. I’m 16 years old and currently in year 4 of the Kulen Outreach boarding school. Last year, I had a motorcycle accident on Kulen Mountain, the place where I am from. Unfortunately, these accidents happen a lot… The roads are really unsafe, and many of my family and friends have been injured over the years. I was lucky, somehow. My wounds were not too severe, but I do still have the scars on my face to prove it. Luckily, my teachers at Kulen Outreach took me to the hospital and made sure my face healed. I know what it feels like to be scared to never look normal again after an incident… because of that I want to either become a nurse or a make-up artist, so young girls like me who have been through a scary situation can still feel beautiful.
