Hi there! My name is Srey Korng, I am 15 years old. My hobbies are listening to music and reading short stories. I am living in a family that doesn’t have a very easy life. I studied at Popel School in grade 6A. One day, an organization called Kulen Outreach came up the mountain to give an aptitude test at my school. If I passed the test, I would be able to study at a school in Siem Reap city.
After taking the test, I submitted my test paper to the teacher for checking, and the teacher also asked me some questions. Two or three days after the test, the results were announced. When I heard my name, I felt both happy and nervous. The teacher told me that when the school year was getting close, I should go to see the place where I would be staying.
When I arrived there, everything felt very new to me because I saw many things I had never seen before when I was living on the mountain.
Not long after, the school year began, and I went to study at Angkor High School in grade 7A. I lived at Kulen outreach organization for three years. The organization provided me with everything I needed, including school supplies and English classes. I got to know myself even better while I am here.
I am excited that I will become a high school diploma candidate in the next two years.
I want to become a doctor because I want to help people who have health problems and injuries. I know that studying to become a doctor is not easy, but I must accomplish it. Right now, I am studying very hard for my dream and also to show my gratitude to the Kulen outreach organization.
I am deeply thankful to the head of the Kulen outreach organization and all the staff who always care about my future.
