Hello! My name is Minea. I am 18 years old. I am studying in grade 12 at Angkor High School. I am a boarding student at Kulen Outreach Organization.
My home village is very far from the city. I tried to study at home for years, but because my family’s living conditions were very difficult and we had no transportation to go to school, and because there were not many subjects available like in the city, especially English, that was very challenging.
I used to think that I would never have the opportunities or abilities that other children(in the city) have. However, I always knew that English was truly important because it allows us to communicate with people from other countries, and I often dreamed of being able to speak it and talk with foreigners. My dream came true when I arrived at Kulen Outreach.
During these past three years, I have made progress both intellectually and physically. I have gained much more confidence in speaking English and using computers.
I am so thankful to Kulen Outreach for giving me opportunities and providing me with study materials, food, care, and everything, also support for my well-being and my future. This organization is like my second family. Without Kulen Outreach, I would not be who I am today. I can’t thank you enough!
