Hi, my name is Kanha. I’ve recently graduated from high school and Kulen Outreach. That doesn’t mean my education stops here. I am waiting to enroll in university, starting in January 2026 – something I never thought I would be able to say. When I was little, I used to go to primary school and thought that was all the education I was ever going to get. When I arrived back home, my parents expected me to help them on the fields. We are a farmer’s family you see. It was my pleasure to help them, but it did make me sad thinking this was all there would be for me, for the rest of my life. We were one of the poorest families in our village, not even able to afford a bicycle. Until I took the Kulen Outreach entry test. I remember being very stressed at that time. It was my only chance for a different future. Luckily I passed! Right now I am one of the 6% students who graduated high school in Cambodia. On top of that, I am fluent in English and Thai! University here I come!
