Millbrook Tomato War
If you've ever had the urge to throw a rotten tomato at your friends, family, or loved ones (or complete strangers for that matter), this event is your dream come true. Our annual Tomato War in Millbrook, New York is an amazing and fun event, with all proceeds raised donated to Kulen Outreach.
In 2016, our cofounder Philip Mactaggart hosts the very first Millbrook Tomato War in an effort to raise funds for Kulen Outreach. Inspired by the famous Spanish tradition La Tomatina in Valencian Bruñol, he generously invites 150 adults and kids to enjoy a wonderful afternoon making a happy mess of themselves. The event is such a great success that it quickly develops into an annual happening, expanding with each edition.
Our Tomato War is organized annually in September and takes place in Millbrook, New York. A peaceful, lush green property transforms into a war zone for a day, hosting a diverse army of Tomato Warriors. Armed to the teeth with overripe tomatoes, they compete in the Children's Tomato War or the Adult's Tomato War in a 'Capture the Flag' style battle. Afterwards they make peace over a delicious lunch, evaluating the battle and congratulating the winners.
We would be very happy to welcome you at the next Millbrook Tomato War. We promise you a fun and exciting afternoon with a bunch of wonderful people. Please contact us for more information on securing your ticket for the next event. Note that all proceedings are donated to Kulen Outreach in support of our three schools.
